"The recording of the album started in may, and it was finished in late august 2006.
Some of the songs I decided to record outside the frame of a conventional studio.

Alpine those myriads?
'Our prolonged black rebirth'
This new mini-album is a product of personal trials, metamorphosis and perhaps a clean cut divorce with past years. “Our prolonged black rebirth” is a highly personal and, at the same time, a quite universal piece. One might say that the record’s introverted gloominess is presented in a rather extrovert way. Songs like the angst-rocker “Burn yr thoughts and wake up!” and the thick-laden droning “I am Rambo (master of Serotonin)” are two songs that represents this beautifully.
Lyrically the record deals with such diverse topics as schizophrenia and using God as a tool for hitting down on others.

Freeshine
'Freeshine'
The self-titled debut LP from Freeshine is cut in Athletic Sound, with help from producer Kai Andersen. Nobody held anything back in the studio. The album is a burning rollercoaster; from shivering manic rock to sentimental journeys through gothic moonscapes, bathed in warm, supersonic noise.
On stage, Freeshine are an unpredictable, chaotic and animated band, that leaves no division between themselves and their audience. |

Merry November
'Since we are all captains'
The return of fall. Along with the season comes the beautiful and melancholy music of Merry November.
Merry November. Ten seasons have come and gone since their debut album "I'll Keep You Here" (Racing Junior, 2003). The fragile duo now returns as a trio with the album "Since We Are All Captains". The musical expression has been expanded and reinforced - the debut emphasized on the existence of November, while Merry is highly present this time. |

Clay Allison
'Love on depression street'
Finally, Swedish six-piece Clay Allison is introduced to the Norwegian audience with the release of their debut album «Love on depression Street». They paint a semi epic music landscape incorporating trombone, smooth guitars and gurgling organs.
Their first single 'Good,Clean' made it big in Sweden. The song got a lot of airplay on both national radio and student radio stations. Also, the video for is being frequently played on MTV alternative nation. |

Edvard Bredok
'Instant Critique'
Bredok's music moves through a landscape of sophisticated, melancholy pop, incorporating both atmospheric builds, and low/fi electro/pop. A song such as "City Nights" slowly escalates into its own complete sound universe, whereas the beatsy "On The Television Show" is more fit for the dancefloor." Edvard Bredok is also a central force in La Mascara Snake , which released the album ...goes fishing in 2003. In this year's by:larm music festival in Stavanger , he will present material from both releases as Edvard Bredok & La Mascara Snake . |
